In Crisis? Call or Text 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline

At LifeAct, our programs teach young people to identify a trusted adult and reach out when they have concerns about depression.

Our primary goal is to encourage and empower young people to reach out for help, and to ensure that they have the support they need. We want to prepare you, the adult in their life, for that conversation.

Addressing the topic of mental health, especially with someone you love, is no easy thing. However, it is incredibly important, and by discussing mental health in your home, you are setting a positive example and breaking the stigma of depression and suicide.

We’re Here For You

LifeAct represents a widespread community of adults who support the mental health of youth throughout Ohio.

One of the most powerful pieces of advice that we have for adults who are caring for someone with mental illness is this: you do not have to solve the problem yourself—all you have to do is acknowledge it. That’s what we teach thousands of students each year, and we truly believe it.

Whatever happens next will look different for each family, and we’re here to support you.
