Addressing the topic of mental health (whether you’re concerned about yourself or a friend, or just here to learn more) is no easy thing. However, it is incredibly important, and you are already taking the first step in empowering yourself and others around you.
Unfortunately, the issue of depression and suicide is affecting more young people now than ever before—but, in order to positively address this trend, LifeAct focuses on two things that we know to be true:
- Suicide is preventable
- Depression is manageable
Most people show recognizable signs when they are contemplating suicide—the reason that LifeAct exists is because we know that if we teach young people to recognize these signs, they can save lives.
