LifeAct Debuts New Stress Management Program Focused on Resiliency and Coping Skills

LifeAct debuts new self-care program focused on resiliency and coping skills.

LifeAct is pleased to debut a new program to help combat the rise in teen mental health issues, and provide adolescents and teens with resources and tools designed to last a lifetime. LifeAct’s newest program, titled Mind Wellness, will focus on self-care methods and stress management that students can incorporate into their lives. The aim of the new program is to help teens focus on ways they can build resiliency and coping skills – tools that teens can utilize throughout their lifetime. Students learn about the difference between stress and anxiety, and will finish with their very own stress-management plan that they can use to proactively manage their mental health.

Developed in cooperation with adolescent psychiatrist, Irina Bransteter, PhD of University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s, this 45-minute training will be delivered by LifeAct’s certified instructors. Amanda Horner, Program Coordinator for LifeAct notes that “With the addition of this program, LifeAct continues to bring innovative and lifesaving programming to adolescents and teens throughout Ohio, helping to empower them to take control of their mental health, and we look forward to presenting this program to schools, after school programming, youth organizations and church groups.”
