LifeAct Invites Community to 2nd Annual Move for Mental Health

LifeAct, a non-profit dedicated to preventing teen suicide, is excited to announce the 2nd Annual Move for Mental Health on Sunday, September 8th, 2024, at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo! This event offers a 5K run/walk and a 1-mile walk, fostering community spirit, raising awareness for teen suicide prevention, and promoting mental well-being.

Lace Up Your Shoes and Move for a Cause

The Move for Mental Health caters to all fitness levels. Competitive runners can conquer the scenic 5K course through the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. For those seeking a more relaxed pace, the 1-mile walk provides a perfect opportunity to enjoy the zoo grounds with loved ones.

More Than Just a Race

This event goes beyond running and walking. Participants can enjoy a vibrant pre-and post-race atmosphere featuring: information booths by local mental health and wellness organizations, commemorative Move for Mental Health T-shirt, awards ceremony for top runners and fundraising teams, live music by DeeJay JT, delicious snacks + refreshments, and family-friendly activities.

LifeAct's Impact in Northeast Ohio

LifeAct's educational programs currently reach thousands of students in multiple middle and high schools across Northeast Ohio. Funds raised at the Move for Mental Health will allow LifeAct to expand these critical programs and reach even more young people.
