LifeAct Appoints Richard S. Block as Advancement Director
Chagrin Falls, Ohio––March 18, 2025––LifeAct is pleased to announce the appointment of Richard S. Block as its new Advancement Director. Richard brings decades of diverse business leadership experience from the for-profit sector to his new role at LifeAct.
As Advancement Director, Richard will be responsible for strengthening LifeAct's funding sources, developing community partnerships, and furthering the organization’s mission to educate young people to recognize the warning signs of depression and to seek professional help for themselves and others.

Richard holds a BA in journalism and marketing from the University of Wisconsin–– Madison and has previously held leadership positions at Cedar Brook Group, Howard Hanna Real Estate Services, and American Greetings.

Founded in 1992, LifeAct is a Northeast Ohio nonprofit organization delivering evidence- based mental health programming for youth and adults, including Suicide Prevention (Grades 6–12), Stress Management (Grades 5–12), and QPR (adult program). Last year (2023–2024), LifeAct served over 48,000 middle and high school students in 17 Ohio counties with lifesaving programming at no cost to participating schools.
