Empower your students to recognize mental health as an important part of their overall health. LifeAct teaches students to focus on the protective factors in their lives, in particular the identification of a trusted adult.
By seeking help from an adult, they learn that depression can be managed and does not have to lead to lifelong mental health struggles or suicide.
Unique to our prevention program, LifeAct instructors identify students who are struggling. Schools can then provide these students with early intervention - the most effective way to prevent youth suicide.
LifeAct’s evidence-based programming aligns with the Ohio Department of Education Social-Emotional Learning Standards. See “For Educators” section for more information.
